| Introduction | I'm the father of two amazing boys, our 4-year-old autistic child, Colton, and his 2-year-old brother, Myles. Our son was diagnosed with “pervasive developmental disorder” by chance when he was 39 months old, we had no clue. The shock and terror of the news blindsided us, and we really had no idea where to turn. So, we bought every book that we could find on the subject, and tried to sort through the thousands of pages on the internet, looking for answers to our questions. Unfortunately, instead of answers we got more and more questions. I started blogging to try and help the parents of "newly diagnosed" children, at least to try and help them understand that they aren't alone.
