Introduction	Heather has been in clinical practice in herbalism, nutrition and lifestyle changes for over 29 years. Her diverse herbal practice is rooted in the community that she serves in Oregon as the proprietor at the apothecary; Mrs. Thompson's Herbs. She is the founder and primary instructor in the Academy Of Scottish Herbalism, an instructor in universities, community colleges, conferences, herb schools and in the distance learning program: The Village Herbalist Independent Herbal Study Course. Heather holds three certificates of training in Herbalism, from The Oregon School of Herbal Studies and Brighid’s Academy of Healing Arts, with additional training in and culinary arts, worked for a time as a chef, served an internship with a 20 year practicing Herbalist and received tutelage from Naturalist and Scottish Elder Allister Brebner. Having dedicated her life to sharing this wealth of knowledge, she has assisted thousands in reclaiming their own process, in giving healing aid to their families and in becoming professional Herbalists themselves. She has achieved international recognition in her field and is consulted by other health professionals
