| Introduction | A home schooled, farmer’s daughter and the oldest of a lot of kids, I grew up a master of imagination. This trait has carried into adult years and I still find myself hero of tales unsung beyond my own head, except for those “rare” instances when I catch myself muttering out loud. That talent, imagination, not the muttering, has served me well in writing; my goal is to not destroy my entire college education within 10 years, hence this blog. I have never been a big fan of blogs, the narcissistic “the world needs to know what I’m doing every 5 seconds” that has invaded our lives tends to drive me nuts. In 2010 I started this as a way to keep my family updated while I traveled around Europe. Then it turned into a way to keep specific friends up to date on life, and now I’m afraid it’s a habit. I've always enjoyed reading clever and humorous writing and the triumph of creative articulation is quite satisfying. (I’m sure you have noticed I’m occasionally extra creative on punctuation and spelling.) Besides, unlike everyone else, you do need to know what I’m up to because the world really does revolve around me… |
