| Introduction | I was told I would go somewhere. Well, I did. It probably hasn't been where they were thinking. But, I have always been encouraged to be an artist. They gave me two art awards in high school and told me to do something worthwhile with them. High expectations coming from a small town in the Texas panhandle. To be honest I tried really hard to avoid being an artist for years despite their pleas. In the end I guess I was an artist, a blessing and a curse. A never ending quest for perfection and never finding it. Anyway, I got an fine art degree in sculpture and it was wonderful and frustrating. I found out sculpture of fine art don't make money, who knew. Well, I did. So near the end of graduating college I found myself learning something equally addictive, 3D computer graphics. I learned more and more and more. Then I realized I didn't know enough and couldn't fast enough. So, I quit my job and started learning full-time. Then I learned how much I didn't know. I went back to school to learn computer science so there could be no end to what I could do in 3D. |
