| Introduction | Welcome to Ethics and Trends 2014. This is one of my favorite classes to teach at the University of Montana School of Journalism. It's a chance to really look at what's happening in the profession right now. We'll talk about current industry events in class and keep ourselves current. I'll also invite in guests to talk about what they're doing in journalism and related media fields. You'll get a chance to interact with these media professionals and hopefully make lasting contacts. I'm also excited to dig into some sticky ethical issues with you and sharpen our decision-making skills. Finally, I expect you to be prepared with a professional, polished portfolio (alliteration alert!) and interviewing skills so you're ready for the job market. |
