| Introduction | I can't ever remember not having a weight problem. I was put on my first diet at the age of twelve and have dieted off and on since then without long-term success. Durring my first preganancy I put on 75lbs that I am still trying to lose. When he was a very little boy, about 4, my oldest son asked me if he could call me Big Mama. Needless to say I was shocked and hurt. Being the open mother that I am I told him that it hurt my feelings. To which he replied, "Can I call you Big Mama when your as big as Aunt Tammy?" (My skinny older sister who happens to be much taller than me.) This was a good lesson in perspective! When planning my mowing business I searched for a name that would supersede expectations. It was then that I was reminded of this experience with my very sweet boy and Big Mama's Mowin' was born. Although I have sold my mowing biz the blog will remain the same. It will serve as a reminder to me to keep Mowin' over anything that might hold me down! |
