| Introduction | I am many things. A husband to my wife, father to my children, and son to my parents to name a few. I am also an advocate for gender equality and believe more needs to be done in order to foster a culture that views men, women, and those who identify differently as people, not mutually exclusive categories. I also believe we cannot make genuine progression in this regard without also addressing other social disparities such as race, income level, social distance, and power. I believe we need to have authentic discussions focused on shifting cultural norms that so often endorse harmful biases and violence. We deserve to better. Generations after us deserve better. It's not going to fix itself. I am not alone. |
