IntroductionI grew up in a very mechanical family. I began going to car shows with my dad very early in life. He still owns a 56 Chevy that my grandparents bought new in late 55, which has since been restored. In 1989, I met a guy that was about my parent’s age, but became one of my best pals. He introduced me to the 50’s kustoms. I attended the West Coast Kustoms show in Paso Robles for the first time in 1990, and was instantly hooked. At that time, I was one of the few youngsters in that hobby, but was really drawn to the history. I am fortunate to have met and interacted with some of the LEGENDS. Even as a young guy, they saw my passion was the same as theirs. They knew in order to keep their passion alive, they needed the younger guys to keep it going. In late 1990, I bought a 53 Ford Club Coupe, with the plan to build a kustom. It has been done and re-done many times, but will never be “finished”. I am a founding member of the Headhunters Kustom Kars. I have met some truly exceptional people over the years, and meet more as time goes on. You will find documentation of my various adventures in my blog. If you have any photos you would like to share, please send them to me.
InterestsMy main interest is in 40's to 60's kustom kars and hot rods. I am also a fan of vintage motorcycles. Not those Orange County Choppers abortions, but traditional or stock styled bikes. The same goes for vintage ski boats. I prefer originality and preservation of the old ways of doing things.
