About me

Occupation I used to be a teacher. Now I'm a mom. Both are vastly underpaid.
Introduction I'm 33 (still not sure how that happened so quickly). I have two (mostly) sweet kids and one (mostly) nice husband. I am, above all, mainly a boring person who likes to stay at home and do fun things like read and knit or write about the things that happen when I'm doing these wild and crazy things. Some of my favorite things include the two kids you see over in that tiny picture, New Mexico pinon coffee, Reese's peanut butter eggs (as you may have noticed, I'm extremely health conscious), Coke (the kind you drink, not the kind you snort), early mornings before everyone else is up, getting magazines in the mail and parentheses. My least favorite things include the current trend of completely ignoring conventional grammar as a means of convenience (I guess?), the egregious use of apostrophes that seems to be sweeping the nation, chain link fences, and the giant messes my kids make with little to no effort.
Interests reading, writing (or attempting to do so), knitting, trying to sew, thinking about exercising, procrastinating, pondering, wandering, wondering, list making
Favorite Books The Catcher in the Rye, Animal Vegetable Miracle, Waiting for Birdy, anything by Alice Munro and Annie Proulx

Describe the sound of a moist waffle falling onto a hot griddle.

Is this a Zen koan? If not, the sound of anything involving a waffle is just straight up deliciousness.
