| Introduction | I have a master’s degree in counseling from Bastyr University and a master’s degree in mythology and depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I am currently writing my dissertation to complete a Ph.D. in mythology and depth psychology from Pacifica. My approach to healing is eclectic, drawing from systems counseling, dreamwork, mythology, depth psychology (Jungian), humanistic psychology, and even Buddhist philosophy. Years of experience as a psychotherapist, community-agency counselor, and psychiatric hospital clinician have connected me with clients from diverse cultures, races, classes, religions, and sexual orientations. My training in counseling and psychotherapy is ongoing, and I attend workshops each year to hone my skills and to enhance the journey with clients. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a writer and editor for five years, and I continue to publish freelance work. |
