| Introduction | Amy Sharp is starting her 15th year in education. She is a National Board Certified Teacher serving in Austin, Texas as the Middle School Humanities Instructional Partner for the Eanes Independent School District. She is also a National Education Association EdCommunities Facilitator for National Board Candidates and a Virtual Coach for Early Career Educators. She is a Doctoral Candidate in Baylor University's K-12 Educational Leadership Program. Amy serves on the TALE Educator Empowerment and Advocacy committees and the NCTE Local Engagement Committee. She is a proud mother of two toddlers, Teddy and Penny, who keep her and her husband of 11 years busy and active in their south Austin community. Nothing feeds Amy's soul more than working with and advocating for educators because she believes it is the best way to make the world a better place for her children and the many generations to come. In essence, she is an unapologetically, self-proclaimed teacher nerd and Mama at heart who cannot imagine doing anything else. |
| Interests | I am in no way a 'sharp' teacher. It's simply a play on my married name. Hey, I gotta catchy last name, right? Why not let it play in my favor? Simply put, I am in no way perfect, but I am blessed to have this outlet and conviction to learn and develop my passion. That being said, I will try my best to revise and edit before I post.
