| Introduction | I long for peace. But life consists of complex and often opposing realities held in tension with one another. One such tension is my aversion to conflict and my need to make voice heard in the current political culture. Politics is no longer a luxury. I have to speak and I want to listen. This blog is my platform for civil discussions. I invite readers and participants to come with the acknowledgement that we all have biases, to come with a willingness to consider uncomfortable ideas, and to express opinions with respect.
