About me

Introduction	I've written three novels for young adult readers, as well as a handful of short stories, and am currently navigating the scenic and surprising journey toward publication. Meanwhile, I'm hanging out with my family and (hopefully) learning to write a little better each day. Practice makes perfectish.
Interests	I'm a mom to four lovable scallywags, and I'm a vociferous reader who loves to write. My passion in both reading and writing is varied, but I always find myself pulled toward fantasy, historical, and fairy-tale-inspired young adult works. I was shaped by C.S . Lewis, J.K. Rowling, Tolkien, Tenneyson (and the Romantics), Gail Carson Levine, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Patricia C. Wrede, Agatha Christie, Neil Gaiman, Robin McKinley, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Shakespeare..and more recently, Naomi Novik, Katherine Arden, Shannon Hale, Lauren Willig, Robin LaFevers and so many others, but I'll conclude here because we all have things to do, places to be, and words to read and write.
