| Introduction | My name is Melanie Allen.I teach 2nd graders at Kingsbury Elementary, where I have been for 12 years. I love KES because of its diverse population of children and its talented staff of teachers! I have been married for 14 years to Chris, who is very supportive of my job. Together, we raise three incredible children... Taegan(13),Cooper(8),and Manuel(15). Manuel was a former student of mine and has been living with us for three years now. All of the kids attend Harding Academy. Both Taegan and Manuel are in the 8th grade, while Cooper is in 2nd grade. They all love to play soccer! I am, without a doubt, their biggest fan! In my spare time, I love to read, blog, search the internet for classroom activities, talk and laugh with my children and husband, watch movies, scrapbook, and garden. My house is rarely clean and is never quiet...always full of my kids and their friends. My family loves to watch the Memphis Tigers play football, basketball, and soccer. |
