Introduction	I was a science teacher for many years--biology and chemistry. As an administrator, I have been a science department chair, an academic dean, and a division director or principal. In addition, I headed an independent school for a number of years.
Interests	As the Executive Director of the Center for Teaching, I am interested in advancing the teaching profession. Personally, I like to swim, listening to music, read, hike, golf.
