Introduction I grew up in a family that appreciated good food. Some of my best memories from child hood come from sitting around a table enjoying good food with my family and we carry that tradition on still today. Growing up on a dairy farm, we raised what we ate. My Mother was a creative cook. My Daddy loved pizza and my Mama loved my Daddy so she created her own home made pizza. This was before pizza parlors, at least in my small town, and before frozen pizza in the grocery store so she HAD to be creative. I remember she cooked pizza on her biscuit pan so I can only assume that pizza pans were not for purchase in the stores. She created home made corn dogs because my Daddy loved corndogs at the Southeastern Fair where we went every year and corn dogs weren't for purchase in the stores in those days either. I think this is where I got the ability to be creative in the kitchen. Not creative in the fancy sense of the word, but creative in making good food but making it in a quick and easy way. I love to take a recipe and "figure out" an easy way to make it with a lot less ingredients. My Daddy always said I could slam the kitchen cabinet doors three times and have supper ready.
