About me

Introduction	I received by bachelor’s degree in inclusive childhood education and most recently graduated with my masters in curriculum specialist. After many years of struggle I finally have my own classroom. I am a special education teacher for students with severe special needs. I’m not going to lie, it’s a tough job, but I love it. It may sound cliché, but it’s true, even the small accomplishments I see in my students make all the other horrible days disappear. I love to create. It doesn’t matter what. I’m always trying new things. Painting, sewing, photography, cooking. You name it and I’m sure I have tried or am planning on trying it. I had always wanted to be an art teacher, but if you think becoming a regular teacher is hard, try finding a job as an art teacher. Though I may not be teaching my passion, I still love painting and drawing in my free time. Oh and reading too. Please recommend any great books to me. I wish I could just stay home every day and read all day. So many things to do, so little time!
Interests	Well, welcome to my little blog! I’m a full time special education teacher and I have been married to my best friend for the past 5 years. We have a small house in the Rochester area that we share with our two dogs. We have been blessed with almost 2 acres of land to use however we want! We have slowly been redoing parts of our house to make it cozier and preparing for our future family. I enjoy gardening, especially my little vegetable garden to grow our own healthy fresh veggies. Now that I only have my job to focus on I have been trying new healthy (and unhealthy) recipes in our kitchen and I look forward to sharing my favorites with you.
