| Introduction | When you read my work…. You may think to yourself….. “this guy is just too dark”!..... “he is too cynical”!..... You may very well be right…. I won’t argue that point… But I do know that out of all of the people whom I know…. No one… NO ONE….. Is more able to seek out….. Find…. And enjoy….. Truly enjoy….. Beauty…. In the most minute of things and situations….. Than I!!!! It is not arrogance….. I assure you….. I teach myself to be more and more humble every day….. Interestingly enough….. It is my dark and cynical nature…… That makes me crave…. And gives me this insatiable hunger…. To look for points of bright light in the darkest of nights….. To taste the tastes more intensely…. To see colors more brightly…. To always be in a state of heightened senses….. Seeking…. Exploring….. So….. Whether you believe me or not….. Know this…. One way to find true meaning….. To find true beauty….. And to truly appreciate the gift that we are given every second of every day…… Is to be cognizant of the meaningless things we occupy ourselves with….. So that we can focus on what really matters….. And to find true happiness….. Whatever that may mean to each of us!!! |
