| Introduction | “That which turned by lumb’ring hand beseems raillery, and which suffers for want of grace, drink shall e’er improve.” No person can know the heart of another—due mostly to the fact that so many people loose their innermost, tend’rest selves through the ritualistic, convoluted intercombination of words and phrases which must be studied before being comprehended. While some poetry and stylized prose is rough coal screaming to be burned, a great deal of it is of most-brilliant diamond—adamant, dazzlingly multifaceted, and pointy enough to damage the eye. Most days, moderation allows us to view the daily drudgery in as “rational” a way as is possible. However, not every day is predictable; neither is every romance cookie-cutter boring. So, should you find that you’re up for novel drink by which to embarrass yourself in the moonlight, peek herein; the people in these pages know about the Muse of the Spirits. If you detest poetry and prose, come and read; you may find a chuckle or three. And, if you adore poetry and/or prose as do I, come and read; you may find your next gem. |
