Introduction	I grew up on a little farm in the backcountry of the pacific northwest. I love our scenery, our seasons, and how it’s always green! I’m wife to the love of my life and mother to an energetic one year old. When stuck at home for several months with my newborn I discovered The Great British Baking Show. It only took a few episodes before I was hooked! Inspired, I bought myself a tart pan and baked a Bakewell tart. It was a game changer! My oven rarely has time to cool down between my baking experiments. I hope to share a bit of my baking passion with you! Growing up I learned American cooking from my mom. When I married into my husband’s family I learned to enjoy food from their Hawaiian-Filipino-Japanese-German roots. Add to this my husband’s taste for pasta and curry and my own obsession with European inspired baking and you’ll find my recipes embrace most cuisines. I’ve never had a lot of extra spending money so if I want to wear a new trend, give unique gifts, or decorate my home I have to save up, shop sales, or DIY (or all three!) If you ever DIY you know not everything works. Here I’ll let you know what worked for me on my sewing, knitting, and home decor DIY adventures!
