| Introduction | Our story began seven years ago. In college I took a summer job at Le Peep Grill waiting table. One day my now husband came in with his roommate whom was dating my co-worker at the time. My co-worker asked me to get a straw for her table where my future husband and her current boyfriend sat. I obliged without asking any questions. Little did I know, her boyfriend’s friend told her that he thought I was cute and she was trying to set us up on a date. When he was leaving, my now husband held up the still fully wrapped straw and told me that he was "going to keep this straw forever.” Honestly, I thought he was a big dork. However, my co-worker was relentless and finally one month later we went on our first date. I guess you could say the rest is history. Four years later we got married and this past year we celebrated our three year wedding anniversary. And, yes, he still has the straw!
