| Introduction | I was once a member of the Young Socialist Alliance. What happened? I stopped listening to my emotions and began to think. When you analyze any situation, Conservatism wins every time. Socialism has never done anything but make matters worse. Much worse. Socialism is based on the idea that it's perfectly acceptable to confiscate the fruit of one person's labors and transfer them to another. This should be called what it actually is: Theft. Socialists think that there's no problem that can't be solved with more government intervention and more confiscation of wealth and freedom. If that was the case, the Soviet Union would still be a super power, and the War on Poverty would have eliminated poverty instead of creating generational poverty. America is at a turning point. More and more people are eager to ignore responsibility, and subjugate themselves in a delirious belief that the government can solve all of their problems. My father was a chemist and a pharmacist. In 1964 when Medicare passed he said to me "This is the begining of the end of medical care in America. This is Socialism, and it's all down hill from here." |
