Introduction	Born and raised in the 'burbs of Portland, Oregon, I grew up with no knowledge of the culture and unique-titude of my hometown. After plowing through high school in nondescript fashion, it was all about finishing up, finding a good job, and getting married and makin' babies. Well, somewhere along that path I was derailed, firstly by college debt that forced me into the full-time working mode, and then later by figuring out that there were other acceptable ways to live your life. Shaking free of my simplistic roots is a constant pursuit, but thanks to some good friends, good music, and good reads here and there, it's happening.
