| Introduction | I am an avid bead hoarder! I love being surrounded by beads and I love to create! I design and make jewelry. Being recently unable to work, I have plenty of time to devote to my art! Am am going to use this blog as a staging area for my work. I was a Medical Technologist in a former life. I am no longer able to work due to medical problems which leaves me plenty of time to work on my art! I have been beading since I was a child, but I didn't get serious until about 5 years ago. I was a finalist in the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads 2008 Beading Contest with my necklace "Vintage Sparkle". That was a very exciting experience for me, because I had never entered a contest before and didn't even dream of being a finalist! I do mostly bead embroidery, beadweaving and some bead stringing now. I am always working on one or the other projects and I also spend alot of time working on my Etsy site and this blog. But I am happiest when I have beads in my hands! |
