| Introduction | I was raised in Puerto Rico. "La Isla del Encanto." As a child, I loved singing and would sing for hours. I was always amazed by people who played the guitar, cuatros (a beautiful sounding instrument from Puerto Rico), and many other instruments. I was raised by a single mother who struggled financially to support us and get us through school. Because it was not even an option for me to take lessons from a professional, I decided to be serious about learning at least one instrument, the guitar. I learned by ear just by looking intensely at people that really knew how to make music with the guitar. I learned how to play by age 15 and now at 33 years old, I love to delight people by playing fun, and enjoyable music on the guitar. I am a Spanish teacher and love my job. I also am a kindermusik educator and also Love it. I have a loving wonderful husband and three beautiful sons whom I love dearly. They are the reason why every day I get up. They give me energy and motivation. |
