Introduction I grew up in a small home being the youngest of three brothers each a year older than the next. Being the gay one, I took great interest in the kitchen; learning to cook, clean and entertain at a young age. I cooked my first meal at age five when I made a meatloaf dinner and invited friends and family over for a three course meal with the best place settings I was able to find in our humble home: place cards were set, fresh flowers picked from the garden and hearty portions delivered to the awaiting patrons. It was clear I had a flare for entertaining since people in my family can still recall the early dinner parties and what the food was like. In high school I had planned on attending culinary school so that I could someday be a famous chef, making my start on a cruise ship – but those dreams changed along with life but my desire to cook and entertain and obsession with food sustained.
