| Introduction | I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma on 5/21/2009. As of March 13, 2010, I have completed 8 rounds of chemo (4 Taxotere and 4 A/C)and had a bi-lateral mastectomy with tissue expanders placed on 12/14/09. March 2nd marked the end of 25 rounds of radiation. I am a "triple negative" and tested positive for the BRCA1 gene. What's left is the completion of reconstruction (breast implants), an oopherectomy and regular follow-up with my oncologist. |
