| Introduction | John S. Barker has been a freelance editor, a contributing editor to Cross-Canada Writers Quarterly (1982-1984), where several of his articles and cartoons appeared, and a technical writer. His fiction includes Burnt Sugar (Crannog Magazine, Ireland), Keeping Silent (Transition, a publication of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Sask.) and If Ever I Should Leave You (Morpheus Tales, UK). He has published several non-fiction articles as well, and in university was editor for the Carleton University Student Journal of Philosophy. Since 1990, he has been mostly involved in information systems and document publishing technologies. |
