Introduction I don't live in Paris, but pretend I do. I don't, however, pretend to write. I'm at it all the time. My latest work is REVENGE IN 3 PARTS, a neo-femmes-noir novel where the women are badass and take center stage. I've been awarded an Elizabeth George Foundation grant and the Monticello Award for Fiction. My writing residencies include Villa Montalvo for the Arts, Hedgebrook, Soapstone and Vermont Studio Center. As Associate Fiction Editor on "Northwest Review" for four years, I took home 10-20 short stories a week that I read fully and commented upon. My short story “Dead Children” was published in SCENT OF CEDARS: THIRTY-TWO PROMISING WRITERS FROM THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. A short memoir “Liberté” appeared in FRANCE, A LOVE STORY: WOMEN WRITE ABOUT THE FRENCH EXPERIENCE.
Interests Writing, noir, Paris, books, dance, Vietnam War (been married to two veterans), New Hampshire where I grew up, politics, movies, art, travel, the mystical, god in all her manifestations, quantum physics, Marilyn Monroe, art in all forms, wisdom, pioneer women, history, organics, music, humor, friends and family. People fascinate me and in another life I was probably a psychiatrist or a witch.
