| Introduction | A journalist with hopes of ultimately becoming a writer, I find myself often torn between idealism and realism, between dreams and practicality. I'd like to be a free spirit - a will o' the wisp, but grudgingly acknowledge that I have to accept the pressures of modern life and the realities of the rat race. I believe in love, not war. In talking, not fighting. In equality, not egalitarianism. I believe in the power of friendship and understanding. I believe in the beauty of nature, but also the genius of man.
