| Introduction | I am creating a company to design, manufacture, and market clothes specifically for people with Down syndrome. My inspiration for this venture is my 7 year old niece Helen. She has DS. My original plan was to focus on children's clothes. However, after hearing from parents and siblings of older children with DS, I'm trying to expand the offering. I spent 24 years working, and learning, in Corporate America. The industry was always healthcare products manufacturing, but the job responsibilities changed along the way. Some of my most satisfying work was program management of new products, from concept through commercialization. I've also done contract support in the National Sales function, and a wide range of Product Management and Marketing. All of that experience and the skills I developed in each area will serve me well in this adventure. |
