| Introduction | Rodel Rodis, Community College Board President Rodel E. Rodis is the President of the Board of Trustees of City College of San Francisco for 2002. This is his second term at the helm, having previously served as President in 1998. He had also served as Vice President of the Board in 1994, 1997 and 2001. Since his initial appointment to the Board in 1991, Rodis has been elected to the Board of San Francisco voters in 1992, 1996 and 2000.Prior to his appointment to the College Board, Rodis served as a two-term president of San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). As SFPUC president, Rodis initiated the successful move to transfer 15 acres of SFPUC property in the South Balboa Reservoir to City College of San Francisco. Rodis, who was born and raised in the Philippines, is an attorney in private practice with a special emphasis on immigration law and civil litigation. He is also a writer, and since 1987, has an avidly-read regular weekly column, “Telltale Signs,” in the nationally circulated Philippine News |
