Introduction	My name is Seth Thompson and I am a freelance photographer. Every photographer has shot a little bit of everything, but I specialize in portraiture, editorial photography, and the occasional wedding. I shoot in a variety of film and digital formats, and use several traditional and alternative printing processes, all to accomplish my ultimate goal: to create images you can FEEL. My relatives would say it's because I'm Danish, but I see the silver lining in bad situations, and can list how seemingly wonderful events are less than wonderful. This extends to my photography. I see beauty in the unglamorous, and am aware of the cracks in beauty's facade. Often my images address this balance between beauty and the grotesque. One is not better than the other; they both exist to validate the other. I hate that "artist" and "photographer" imply different pursuits. I'm an "artist" who works primarily in "photography".
