| Introduction | Zimbabwean born and bred during the colonial era when the country was still called Rhodesia, I am still a fiercely proud Zimbabwean despite the country's many woes. We emigrated from SA to the UK in November 2015. Aside from five years spent as a regular soldier, virtually my entire career has been spent in the southern African safari and related wildlife conservation fields, incorporating both consumptive, and non-consumptive utilisation of wildlife and natural resources on a sustainable yield basis. My real concerns are about the massive levels of deforestation going on in southern Africa, the rampant poaching, corruption, and greed. How it will all end in the long term is anyone's guess. I started feature writing back in 1995, and have had six books published to date, with another two in the pipeline. When my wife Brenda and I arrived in the UK in November 2015, we bought a 60-foot liveaboard narrowboat and we love the freedom boat dwelling gives us. Since we bought our boat I have completed a Royal Yacht Association helmsmanship certificate, and I work seasonally for a narrowboat hire company as a helmsmanship instructor. |

You get to ride the big roller coaster three times in a row. What will keep your dad from taking a bite out of your candy apple?
Motion sickness!
