| Introduction | is a Nigerian journalist and writer. He won the 2004 United Nations Economic Commission for Africa organised AISI/OSIWA reporting ICT in Rural Communities award. In 2006, he won the Siemens Profile Media Award while writing on basic technology.In Dec 2007, he won the first prize at the AISI/GKP/IDRC contest for African journalists writing on ICT policy. He won a merit award in the Industry category at the 2007 Siemens Profile Media Award.He won the 2010 UCIP International Award on Women Issues (Honorary Mention). Apart from his journalistic work, he is a writer. Labulabu Mask, a novel, was published by Macmillan Publishers in 1987. In 2007, he collaborated with South African photographer, Pieter Hugo, on The HYENA AND OTHER MEN. In 2014, his short story collection, AMERICAN 419 AND OTHER STORIES, was published by Laughing Fire Press. In 2016, Emerald Press published INNOVATION AFRICA, to which he contributed a chapter. In 2021, awarded Earthjournalism Ocean Reporting Grant. In 2022, awarded Pulitzer Crisis Reporting Grant. |
