| Introduction | I started riding when I was 8 years old. Competed in show jumping until I was 18 (had to choose between horses and University). Had no horse for the next 9 years, then bought a yearling filly once we had land to pasture her. Gypsy was the first horse I ever started. She was a dream (that was 13 years ago). Since then I bought a Clyde/TB gelding (Jake), tried to breed Gypsy, she didn't conceive, and then bought 2 weanling fillies with the intent that I would train and sell them. IndyAnna (TB/Percheron) was a lot like Gypsy (pretty easy-going). Skittles (QH) was a whole other story. Completely wild and unapproachable, highstrung and untrusting. However, since learing about Parelli Natural Horsemanship, she is now my new star! A completely new horse. I've now sold Indy and Jake and am focussing on furthering both Gypsy and Skittles' education... and maybe I'll try breeding one of them or starting over with a new young one... who knows? Also, if I'm using terminology in this blog that you don't understand, you probably have to read an earlier blog (or two or three) to get the explanation or definition (or go to Parelli.com).
