| Introduction | I am married to the beautiful, intellegent, and "Queen of Go", Linda Hudson and have recently renewed my marrage vows. I have two grown children: Rick, a teacher in Manhatten and Jeannette, an attorney in Boston, who has blessed me with the greatest grandson on the Planet, Jesse. Born and raised in Allentown, PA, I have lived in many parts of the US and have re-invented myself numerous times: training specilaist in the steel industry, director of non-profit substance abuse treatment facility, official in the Governor's Office in PA, healtcare executive for numerous private sector hospital companies, business owner and CEO of startup company, public school science teacher for the gifted and talented. I have a BA in pre-law, an MBA in healthcare marketing, and a teaching certificate in the State of Georgia. Since retiring from teaching and relocating to St. Marys, GA, I have earned Master Naturalist certificates in both the states of Florida and Georgia. I have joined the Board of the St. Marys EarthKeepers, appointed Chair of the RiverWatch Committee,and I have been trying my hand at blog writing. To keep in touch, I substitute teach in our local school system. |
| Interests | Really, anything outdoors by or on the water, preferably salt water. Described as the "king of go", I enjoy: boating, paddling, sailing, traveling, hiking, beach walking, camping, exploring new places, outdoor music concerts, driving my Miata on a beautiful day with the top down, biking, nature and weather. Also keep up to date on national and international news, lastest scientific research on the environment and astronomy, the New York Yankees, my friends and family. I love to learn. Especially, I love to learn about the natural world I live in. I have a passion about teaching others what I have learned by running guided trips on Amelia, Cumberland, and Jekyll Islands and the waters in and around SE Georgia and NE Florida. |
| Favorite movies | Not much of a movie goer. Too few movies that attract my interest enough to pay $10 and keep me inside for 2 hours. And, I rarely remember them. |
| Favorite music | Blues, bluegrass, southern rock a la Allman Bros. Anything live. American roots and love to dance, especially Zydeco. |
| Favorite books | Non fiction adventure and survival books. Anything by Dan Brown and Tom Clancy |
