| Introduction | Hi, I am Troy. I am a birder, and I am 9 years old. My favorite bird is the gorgeous, beautiful, glamorous wood duck. I like them because of their Mohawk-like thing on the back of their heads. Also, I like them because the babies do something extremely funny and breathtaking as soon as they're ready to leave the nest: Baby wood ducks (and Hooded Mergansers) leave the nest by jumping down to the ground or into water from a height that can be more than 30 feet. Then they are out on their own. |
