| Introduction | Kids Cook Classroom began in 2003 as an after school enrichment program at Loring Community School, an elementary school in North Minneapolis. With a mission to encourage healthy cooking and eating, Robin Krause, Starla Krause and Susan Telleen volunteered to develop and teach basic cooking lessons for third through fifth grade students. Loring Schoolyard Garden was cultivated and planted in 2006 by Kids Cook volunteers, Loring Elementary and Patrick Henry High School students and their families. |
