About me

Introduction	If I could say anything about myself, it would be that I am an average American woman. I have a loving husband, 2 kids, 2 fun stepkids, 3 rabbits and a great extended family. I have a career in aviation that I enjoy (most of the time...lol). As for me on the inside...I am not the kind of wife that is defined by what or who my husband is, or the kind of mom this centered around her kids. I truly believe in my heart of hearts that every kid needs room to grow, and every wife needs to be her own person. Being a pilot's wife and the mother of a pilot's children is one of the most challenging things I have ever done. Believe me when I say being a former military aircrew member myself, traveling doesnt hold a candle to being the one left at home. I am extremely proud of my husband everyday and share joy in all of his achievements, I guess this is why I hate the quote " behind every good man, is a good woman". If you ask me it should read "next to every good man, is a good woman". This must be the reason that I feel the best thing I can do for my husband while he is away is to continue to be a strong, free thinking, independant woman at home.
