Favorite movies	ones that keep me awake (especially if they're pretty)
Favorite music	good music, self-consciously bad music, music that doesn't make me want to drive an icepick through my ear.
Favorite books	ones that would hurt if you were to drop them on your toe, chewy non-fiction, kid books targeted at 8-to-10 year olds, books with pretty covers.

Well, maybe they don't need them, but don't you think that some fish might like a bicycle?
