About me

Location Atlanta, GA, United States
Introduction I am a pop culture buff and collector, who focuses on the odd, subversive, and fringe elements of Western culture. In 2005, I edited a book for Feral House called "Sin-A-Rama: Sleaze Sex Paperbacks of the Sixties." The vintage oddities in my collection include victoriana, sideshow, medical, and kitsch. I am also an amateur sewer, making clothing from vintage mod patterns.
Interests Writing fiction (mostly short stories), Writing Non Fiction (check out the book I edited-- "Sin-A-Rama: Sleaze Sex Paperbacks of the Sixties), Lowbrow/Pop Surrealism Painters, People who are outside the norm, Challenging the system, anti-establishment, equity, feminism, literature, sociology, psychology, music, travel, systems analysis, deconstruction of institutions, asking why?, questioning authority, questioning hierarchy, questioning tradition, language deconstruction, meeting new people and developing my character database, keeping my eyes open constantly for story ideas or tidbits to include within stories, snarking about real-life things my friends and I find annoying (i.e. pet peeve: when a sales person tries to pressure you to buy a piece of clothing by giving an unsolicited opinion about how great it looks on you, even if it looks like crap), going to events that other people might find odd, because I want to have a story about it.
