IntroductionI am a mother, a wife, a friend, a teacher, a sister, a daughter, a mentor, a counselor, a pirate at heart, a girl, an idiot, an idiot girl, a shoulder to cry on, a ride home, a helping hand, a safe place, a workaholic, a multi-tasker, a grammar nazi, a book fiend, a good time, a cheap date, a smart ass, a bitch, a snob, a pain in the ass, a some-time poet, an aspiring writer, a jaded optimist, a cynic, a failed neat freak who exists in organized chaos. Welcome to my world. If you don't like it, get on out. Have a wonderful day.
InterestsThere isn't much I'm not interested in, other than inane drama.
Favorite musicI will listen to anything that doesn't hurt my ears. Some of my favorites are REM, NIN, Bette Midler, Incubus, Pedro Infante, Depeche Mode, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Tracy Chapman, Metallica,The Cure, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Green Day, Shakira, and on and on and on. The only kind of music I can't really listen to is that harsh screaming rock-I have no idea what it is called. Whatever it is, it hurts my brain and I can't listen to it. Oh yeah, and Celine Dion. She is creepy. Everything else I will listen to.
Favorite booksJust about anything. I have been called a bibliophile. Addictions are bad, but there are worse things to be addicted to. Everything Laurie Notaro has ever written is a must read for me.Not too long ago, I read Vulnerable and Wounded, by Amy Lane. Good read-vampires elves, sex, a minimart and San Francisco. Who could ask for more? Anne Rice used to be a favorite, but haven't read her newer stuff. Pretty much anything about vampires, magick, or disfunctional families catches my attention! Ooooh! I LOVE Harry Potter too! I also really like the classic stuff-Shakespeare, Austin, Dickens, Dickenson, the Bronte sisters (Emily more than Charlotte) Twain, Poe (he's a twisted little monkey, but I love him) Donne, Hemmingway, Fitzgerald, Allende, Garcia Marquez, Neruda, Borges, and too many more to name. Any version of Dr. Faustus also ranks high up on my list!!!

If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?

Nope. I'd eat more. Gotta stay afloat!
