Introduction I am mother of three wonderful children. I am happiest with the simple things in life...I love wholesome home cooked food and really enjoy preparing and cooking lovely fresh ingredients....dinner parties, dancing... especially latin American dance, singing, writing, laughing and loving....ohhhh and long hot bubble baths with essential oils and candles are my saviour .
Interests Aromatherapy, writing.... I first started submitting some poems in March 2007 and have had eight poems published in books and magazines. I am currently working on my novel and art. I've also enjoyed co-ordinating the local writing, art, music and drama group. Love dancing, yoga, music, cycling, reading, swimming, countryside walks, going to the beach...there's nothing like swimming in the sea although the North sea kinda takes your breath away!!! I'm quite sure I was a mermaid in a hot country in a past life! My other passions are art, crafts, photography, learning playing guitar, Drums, Started with the with the djembi then my son got a seven piece set from santa... Mmmm well...kinda making a noise with that too, but probably best to leave it to my son as he has the real talent for it, damm my right foot on the bass pedal always wants to do the same beat as my right hand does, had thought of a solution though...like maybe I should use my left foot instead? But then same problem! ...great anger management though!... sorry neighbours, glad I warned you all about it before it happened, cheers for being so understanding. I also love to sing mostly in the bath or when I'm doing the dishes and when we have wee jammin sessions as a family.
Favorite Movies Brave Heart, Gone with the wind, My left foot, Anger management, Pay it forward, Forest Gump, Witches of Eastwick, Beautiful mind, Pirates of the caribbean, wizard of Oz, Spiderman, devils avocate, shawshank redemtion, trainspotting, silence of the lambs, four feathers, disclosure, changing lanes, grease, Railway children, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Roman Holiday to name but a few. I like comedies often and chick flicks occassionally, theres something about Mary, bridget jones diary and Recent light hearted comedies such as I now pronounce you chuck and Larry and music and lyrics have tickled my chuckle organ!...Much Ado about nothing by William shakespear was great, this movie has a brilliant cast, great storyline and dialogue, very funny, 'tis a merry war of trust and treachery, social graces and sheer physical attraction, an intricate tale of love and combat! "P.S I LOVE YOU" I watched this movie with some friends at the cinema had quite a few tears and much laughter fabulous movie. Wow condemned is a movie that gets the adrenaline rushing for sure, good god it's certainly takes reality TV to the extremes, hope it's not a script writers premonition. "THE BUCKET LIST" is amazing with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson my two favourite actors it's bound to be!
Favorite Music I like many genres of music...I prefer acoustics with a passionate voice and heartfelt lyrics although my taste varies widely and what I listen to on any given day/night depends on my mood, and theres always those sweet lyrics and melody that brighten the moment. When dancing music takes me to that place evoking the symphony of my soul, my body then becomes the instruments. Music has definately been my life support over the years. Some of my favourite artists are....Diana Ross, Celine Dion, Joss Stone, Anastasia, Eva Cassidy, Dolly Parton, Amy Winehouse, Amy Macdonald, Macy Gray, Patsy Cline, Gabrielle, M people. Snow patrol, Rod Stewart, The Killers, Mika, Paulo Nutini, James Morrison, Eric Clapton, Savage Garden, REM The Jam, Meat loaf, Frank Sinatra, Stereophonics, The Beatles, Westlife, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles and many more.
Favorite Books Treasure Island, The Lion the witch and the wardrobe, Peter Pan, famous five, secret seven, anything by Roald Dahl, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre and Great Expectations are my favourite classics. I read a variety of adult books and usually know by around the tenth page whether I will continue to read or not and again it depends on my mood. I usually have a few on the go at the same time and prefer to tap in and out as my mood predicts. Mostly prefer psychological thrillers analytical and philisophical styles, autobiograpies, books of adventure and discovery like the Ewan Mcgregor and Charlie Boorman books Long way round and Long way down, mind body and spirit or factual books all tempt me more than fantasy or fiction.
