| Introduction | Hi, I am an adult child of divorce. My parents divorced when I was very young and I grew up not knowing my real Dad. I am an adult female in my early 40's and I will have the scars from divorce the remainder of my life. In addition, I have adult children who grew up without their Dad also. There is soooo much I learned the hard way, as a Mom. Things that I wished I had a better understanding of PRIOR to my own divorce. Things that would have saved my children a lot of pain. I also have step-children who are currently fighting the "in the middle" battle and it breaks my heart almost daily. I would like this blog to be a place where kids can speak out about the pain they are feeling and get encouragement and support from others...so they know they are not alone. Ultimately my hope is to create understanding and awareness among parents...who have the kids in the middle. Speak out and let's be change agents against divorce to help all of us and break the cycle of Kids caught in the middle!!! |
