| Introduction | I am an aspiring nurse-midwife in my mid-twenties. I have been fascinated by pregnancy and birth since childhood, but only in the past couple of years did I realize that midwifery is my true calling. Although I feel a stronger connection with the CPM path (Go Ina May!), I ultimately chose to pursue the CNM path in order to reach a more diverse population of women, and to have more opportunities to work abroad. I hope to spend most of my life supporting mothers through the profoundly spiritual journey of labor and birth, and to help change the maternity system in the US. |
