| Introduction | Sabrina Ballard is a dedicated activist who concentrates on issues affecting students and the community. In response to youth apathy and driven by the saying, “Our future is in our youth”, she formed the St. Augustine Youth Action Group. This energetic, determined collection of under thirties strives to foster youth involvement in community betterment, raise awareness of crucial issues affecting the community, and influence local, regional and national legislation. It is committed to positive change in the community St. Augustine’s youth will learn, grow and work in, and is actively seeks new members from all political and ideological backgrounds. To reach out on the issues of school budget cuts and to promote the new group, she recently spoke at the St. Augustine Tea Party.
