If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
Ah, matey! Being a pirate is very serious business you know, arrrrr. I'd just refer to it as "down there" and avoid it all together. I'd be much to busy saying important and serious things like "shiver me timbers," to worry about the poop deck anyway.
