Introduction	Read Meat is the musings of a carnivore eating and cooking my way through my 20's in Washington, DC. Topics vary, but it predominantly focuses on ways to self-teach cooking, eating well on a budget, reviews of restaurants in Washington DC and other general food related news and thoughts - all with a particular emphasis on red meat (hence the blog title). I trained myself to cook and have a discerning palette so Read Meat shows the avenues, techniques and recipes that I find particularly useful and informative- both successes and failures. Separately, I work in politics but the blog will always stay completely a-political and distinct from my work.
