| Introduction | Meet the H-- family: A, J, K, and Z. This blog is random observations (from my point of view) of life with my son, A, who is autistic, and some other ramblings about gardening, cooking experiments, craft projects gone horribly wrong, and other life vignettes to keep family and friends updated on the rest of our lives. I love my little guy! The posts that describe A's challenges are typical for my son. Autism affects individuals and families in many different ways -- this is our journey. The title "A Slant of Sun" is a book by Beth Kephart, and is an encouraging and beautifully written testament about her own experiences with an autistic son. Dear Auntie Penelope: thank you so much for the unique syrup dispenser! I like how the liquid not only comes out the main opening in the beak, but the nostril holes as well. It was a big hit at our breakfast with the Prime Minister, he loved the way the nostrils sugar over. Thanks again! Your loving niece, Hermione
